ARCHITECTURE
Object
Edge’s fundamental strength lies in its architectural
capabilities. Most of our client engagements start with
architecting a major application area, a large business
space or even the whole enterprise. Architecture constitutes
our core offering.
Business
driven architecture - We start all architecture
exercises with creating an understanding of the business
scenario, the pain points and the business vision. Our productivity
frameworks allow us to effectively translate business artifacts
to technology parameters and arrive at an architecture which
meets your business vision. In many cases Object Edge architects
have worked as change agents bringing in innovative contemporary
technology solutions and evolutionary ideas delivering genuine
business value.
Architectural
vision and implementation – "We are
not Power Point architects." All our architects have
hands-on experience in building powerful IT solutions. One
of our biggest differentiators from our competition is that
our architects carry an assignment through to implementation.
We do not depend on others to implement our concepts.
Architecture
synergies with IT Solution Development –
A good architecture foundation brings in a host of virtues
to any application solution, such as agility, flexibility,
re-use, personalization etc. We put our emphasis on well-architected
solutions allowing our customers to be a effective as possible
in their business space.
Architectural
framework – Object Edge uses TOGAF
(The Open Group Architectural Framework) as the basis of
our approach to architectural development. TOGAF is a definitive
and proven step-by-step method for developing and maintaining
enterprise architecture. It covers the four principal architecture
domains of business, information systems (application and
data), and technology infrastructure, and focuses strongly
on the need for architecture to support business objectives
and requirements. The enterprise continuum depicted in the
picture below, represents the architecture/solutions realization
of the enterprise from multiple architecture development
cycles:

Key
Concepts
Service
Oriented Architecture (SOA)
– SOA is a contemporary framework for integrating
business processes and supporting technology, as secure
standardized components or services. We are strong proponents
of SOA and most of our architectures are based on SOA principles.
Enterprise
Service Bus (ESB) – ESB is the middleware
that provides an efficient and reliable messaging infrastructure
for the services to communicate among themselves and other
internal / external components. Most of our architectural
designs incorporate ESB and we have extensive experience
working with ESB.
Boundary-less
Enterprise – With the advent of SOA and with
the emerging trends of supply-chain integration, the need
to integrate with industry associations and deploy common
standards, the concept of boundary-less enterprise is gaining
ground. In keeping with Object Edge’s ethos of bringing
the most contemporary concepts and technology to deliver
value to the customer, we devise our architectures with
boundary-less enterprise as a major architectural guideline.
